Libguides and Libcal now forcing https

Kia ora koutou

After waiting a year for Springshare to do it to us (they’re a bit behind their Q1 2019 target), we have taken the plunge and switched on “force https” for Libguides and Libcal.

This means anyone navigating to subject guides or library workshops via http links will be redirected to the https version of the page.  There may still be some http content in your guides that could cause issues (some browsers won’t load insecure content inside a secure page) – usually it’ll be widgets or embedded videos etc.  I did a sweep for this content early on in the year and switched out what I could find to https versions but there could be some out there still or new stuff that’s been added since.

Have a check through your guides in different browsers over summer and make sure they still display ok.  You should remove http content that won’t load (or can just link out to it instead of loading it by script or embedding ) if you can’t get an https version of it.
