Kia ora koutou

As part of the latest Summon release they have added the option to include Unpaywall (an Open Access article index/database) links in search results.  We turned this feature on last week so, in Multisearch you can now find these links underneath the abstract/blurb of relevant articles (see image for example).  We’ve called the links “Open Access Version”.  Clicking on the link will take users to the open access version Unpaywall has on file which can have a number of different formats e.g. an open access publication pdf or a pre-print version of an article in an institutional repository.

Further  developments/enhancements of this feature (including a search facet an inclusion in the existing open access facet) are on the Summon roadmap so hopefully this feature will be a little less buried in future.
