It is that time of year again where we are selecting 2020 database packages in Intota (which drives our Multisearch and 360 link available full text links) .

It can take a while (few weeks to a month) for Multisearch and 360 link (link resolver for Google Scholar Full text at UC links and SciFinder, Scopus etc.) to catch up with article level full text links for these packages.  While they catch up full text links are likely to just go to the journal page – users will then need to search within the journal to find the article or browse to it by volume/issue

At the moment Wiley Online Library Database Model 360 links are to the journal level only (some Multisearch links will still work straight to the article  if they are linking via different methods).

Other annual subscription packages that are coming up and will be similarly affected include Taylor & Francis Online – CAUL, Science Direct Freedom Collection, Springer Online Journals – CAUL, Sage Premier, Cambridge Journals CAUL.

Something to bear in mind with teaching and showing new students at the front desk.
