We have now worked out the source of the problems with the library catalogue not loading bib record detail pages quickly.  It has something to do with it trying to get to syndetics to pull in cover images.  We’ll try to get to the bottom of that and get a fix but in the meantime have turned off cover images so that the record loading issue is stopped.
