The suggestion in that article of using Zoom (having a Zoom room open all the time) is worth considering – Zoom works a lot better than Skype for Business when working from home.
I particularly liked the idea of having Zoom (or whatever tool you are using to connect with colleagues) open when you are available . And closing it down as a signal that you are in another meeting, or unavailable because you are deeply focused on a writing or analysis task.
