Marketing July Update

What have we been doing?

  • Golden Tickets – As a welcome to Semester 2 we are running an interactive promotion throughout our three Libraries. Clues are posted to our Instagram stories each day about where golden tickets are hidden and when found, these are exchanged at our information desks for a block of chocolate. This promotion is a fun and engaging way to help students navigate library spaces and interact with our Instagram page.
  • Winter Wellness ExpoWe had a library stall over at the Winter Wellness Expo, which was aimed at providing students with information around how we can support them in their studies. This was a great success with a total of 257 visitors engaging with our stall and asking library specific questions.
  • Various Makerspace events, including a really cool Lego Tower building competition
  • The due date for Visualise Your Thesis entries is this week, so we’ve been encouraging students to get any last minute help they need before submitting

Social Media

  • All of our platforms (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) are continuing to see a gradual increase in follower numbers
  • The Research Team is taking a more active role in posting on Twitter, so look forward to seeing some good new content in the coming weeks

  • We’re always looking for more social media content, so if you have any ideas/content please email Fiona for Twitter, Kiera for Facebook and Juliet for Instagram
  • If you have something that you want the Marketing Team to promote please remember that we need at least two weeks notice to create promotional materials/get organised/create a marketing plan. You’ll also need to have all the information about the event ready to go, including a description of it, a short tagline we can use for social media, and any images/branding you want included
