Day One: Stretch, yawn…goodness, is that the time? Oh well, just another five minutes…hmmm…it’s so cosy… [Two hours later]: Whoops! Really must get some structure in the day. Wasn’t there something I was supposed to do today?
Brrring! Brrring! “Hello? Pop over for a cuppa? Sure! Why not?”. Oh well, whatever it was, I’m sure it can wait until tomorrow.
Day Two: Ditto Day One.
Day Three: Right! Must get going! First job: book car for WOF and service. (But I’m sure there was something else I was meaning to do…).
Day Four: Take car for WOF and service.
Day Five: Recover from busy Day Four. (Well, whatever I was intending to do, it escapes me now).
Day Six: Thank goodness it’s the weekend! Oh, that’s right, every day’s a weekend.
Day Seven: Rest and reflect on past week….. You know how retired people always say they’re so busy, they don’t know how they found time to go to work? Well, they’re right!
Work? Work! That’s what I was going to do! No no, not actually work (steady on!), but I did mean to write a thank you to all my lovely ex-work colleagues! So, while I still have a bit of a grip on things…
A big thank you to you all for your kind thoughts and best wishes upon my retirement. Also for the very generous gifts of a fledgling native forest and the Kathmandu, Court Theatre and Terra Viva gift vouchers. So well chosen and I shall enjoy putting them all to very good use. They will remind me of the many happy days working at UC Library with a great bunch of people. Go well, Felicity
