Some library managers have been having meetings with academic staff to discuss the Physical Collections Project. During these meetings we have informed academics they are able to visit and browse storage spaces on request if required for their research.  This has always been possible but the library has received very few requests to do this.

If you get any requests from researchers to browse Henry Field Store or Law Basement then ask them to email collections@canterbury.ac.nz in the first instance and these emails can be forwarded to me. We will only offer this service to UC academics/postgrads and by appointment only.

In the unlikely event we get inundated with requests, we will need to look at offering this service in a different way.
