Login problems with some users – OCLC, interloans portal, Lexis Advance and Zoom

Kia ora koutou

IT think they have worked out the issue causing some people to have problems logging in to ADFS sign in (blue university of canterbury sign in page).  This sign in method is used for OCLC (including Tipasa interloans portal), Lexis Advance database and Zoom.

The issue is affecting people who have not changed their IT password since 2010.  If you come across people unable to login to these apps you can suggest they change their password via Okta.

NB: after a password change there will be a lot of things people have to re-log in to (update saved passwords etc. e.g. email app on phone, skype for business, outlook, wiki, LibCal appointments outlook sync, etc.).   We also recommend logging out of your computer immediately after you have changed password (you can get locked out of your account for 20 minutes otherwise as the password no longer matches ).

Ngā mihi,
