Some of you may have noticed that some full-text  links in Multisearch are taking people to the new Informit database (Informit changed platform in January this year) homepage screen rather to the article.   Searching for the article or journal within the database will then return no results or show the journal with a red lock symbol.

The 2 journals we know are particularly affected are New Zealand Law Review and 2010-2012 articles in Early Childhood Folio.  But there may be others.

Upon reporting this to Informit we’ve been made aware that a month ago RMIT (the organisation/uni behind Informit) suffered a cyber attack which forced them to shut down their systems.  They’re progressively getting their systems back up and running and hope to finish this process at the end of the month.  Once the servers they need are back Informit are aiming to have the missing content loaded by 8th April.

In the meantime, if someone is after a particular article and we don’t hold it through other providers/databases, an interloan request will be required.
