Even more about the email migration

Kia ora koutou

We’ve had some more clarification about who’s migrating next week.  It’s only the people on the following list, if they haven’t already been migrated:

LT&R
Anton, Brian, Damian, Dave C and Dave L, Elizabeth, Fiona, John, Kathryn, Kerry, Kiera, Kim , Lisa, Margaret Paterson, Nick Scullin, Sara, Stuart, Theresa,

MB
Angela Davies, Cherilyn, Erin, Gabrielle, Hannah, Lydia, Matt, Swee Hoon.

If any of you fall into the category of still being on the old exchange server (refer to the previous post), but are not on the list above, your email will not be migrated next week – it’ll be done as a UC-wide clean up of remaining accounts in a couple of weeks.

Multi-Factor Authentication
We had a question/comment around this on the last post – if your email has already been migrated and you didn’t set up Multi-Factor Authentication already in Feb we suggest that you do so as UC will start requiring you to have set it up to allow access to your email from off campus soon.  You won’t have to text/landline verify every time you log on but may need to enter a code from your phone every now and then once IT set this up fully (plan is to eventually use this as part of your computer login process too).

Sorry for all the mixed communications.

Ngā mihi,

Romy (on behalf of Library Digital Services Team)

  1. AND – turns out the above post was wrong too – Donna and I have been migrated this morning so likely others in the library too (maybe just customer services and LAC). Has been a pretty straight forward process for me so hoping you’re coping with the surprise too – if anyone needs any help with Outlook/app connections we’re happy to help.
    Ngā mihi,
