This is a bit of tech advice that won’t be for everyone, but for the more adventurous among you who were hoping to be able to watch lsat week’s staff forum back in 1.5x or even 2x the speed, this is how it can be done. These instructions are for Chrome browsers, but the process is similar for other browsers (the menus will just have slightly different names).

The video has been embedded using HTML5, which doesn’t provide the playback options in the same way as an embedded YouTube video. To change the speed:

Right click on the page and choose Inspect.

From the Elements tab, find the video tag and select it (you can use the highlighted pointer tool to click and select the element):

Switch to the Console tab and type $0.playbackRate = 1.5 (or whichever speed you want) and press enter:

Now the video will playback at your chosen speed, but only for the current session. Once you refresh the browser, the speed will return to normal.
