Library Home Page

The Digital Services team have received great feedback about the addition of Te Rua Makerspace to the Library homepage and placement suggestions for the remaining content blocks. We’ve had a little rejig to better represent what our students are looking for. AskLIVE will remain in its current position as this is consistent across the Library’s webpages.

  1. I’m a bit late to the discussion (I just read the previous comments), but I’m surprised that Subject Guides and Databases are in the third row. I think of them as key resources and, along with Citations and Referencing, they are the only ones I use regularly and show students – but then this probably reflects my role as a Subject Librarian I guess rather than the Library as a whole? Maybe we don’t need the Databases button as it is under search our collections anyway? Does Library hours need to be first? Does it get the most clicks? For me, hours for an organisation is something I’d expect along with contact details or at the bottom of the page not highlighted in the most prominent position.

    Cheers,

    Nick
