Distance service moves to Library Access and Collections team

From 19 July 2021  Library Access and Collections team (LAC) are responsible for providing the Distance service.  The service has moved from the Engagement and Learning Support team after several trials during which LAC staff learned most of the processes involved. Jenny Owens will be the manager responsible for the service.

The process is very similar to the Interloans service which LAC has responsibility for, so there are efficiencies to be gained by having the same team provide both services involving posting and scanning of items.

Any distance enquiries can still go to distance@libr.canterbury.ac.nz which LAC are now responsible for monitoring.
