The Worksafe “You can sense it, you can stop it” initiative is about acting when you sense some sort of danger and keeping your teammates safe. You may have seen those meerkats in a warehouse on the TV ads, well we have Meerkats in MB too- and Meerkat certificates and even a Meerkat badge.

The MB Library got to run this programme because our indefatigable H&S rep. Swee Hoon got the “Limited Edition” of the Meerkat campaign materials from the UC H&S team when seeking new posters for our MB H&S board. Although she tried to source more for the rest of the library, it turned out this was all that was available so MB has been the only lucky team to roll out the promotion.

October’s Meercat was Laura who identified and acted upon hazards in the warehouse. Laura was also the first team member to proudly wear the meercat badge! Check out Laura receiving the award, on the K drive “K:\Operations\Marketing\Photos\Meerkat-MB-2021.jpg”
