Welcome to the “unlucky for some” 13th edition of Inside Out… an update on what is happening inside and outside of the Library.
So this last fortnight has been a bit of a rollercoaster.
Improving Access to Māori Resources
A key focus for 2022. I’ve just finished drafting the project closure report so click here for a sneak peak.
UC Digital Screen Campus
Coming soon to a screen new you…. high quality indie films created on the Dovedale campus. Following last week’s announcement, Robyn Nuthall presented to Library managers about this project. We learnt about the likely repurposing for film production of the Henry Field Library in 2023. We will discuss with the Space Management team how to manage this.
ITS restructure
The new ITS structure continues to be put in place. Currently lots of jobs are being advertised and IT aim to be all done by April. We have sadly lost Shona van Ee as the Library’s key contact but continue to work closely with other IT colleagues.
Note: if you need IT help, in-person support is based on the ground floor of Matariki
UC Graduate School
The Postgraduate Office are setting up governance and project boards and the workstreams will start shortly. We will be invited to participate in this. The soft launch of the new Graduate School supporting PhDs and masters is scheduled for the second half of 2022.
