Very cool! I first noticed one of these outside Matariki when we were leaving for the very first lockdown. I thought then it was a definite sign that aliens were taking over…
As one of my favourite lecturers many years ago used to say, “fungi are fun” 🙂

Thanks for sharing. That fungus is similar to a white one that we found in our garden at home once. We called it the Schlumpf, possibly because I had remembered what that meant from my German studies. (See below).
