Kia ora koutou,
A reminder that Pink Shirt Day (PSD) is this coming Friday (20 May) and we will be taking a staff photo for those who are keen!
Join us on Friday 20 May as we Kōrero Mai, Kōrero Atu, Mauri Tū, Mauri Ora – Speak Up, Stand Together, Stop Bullying!
Celebrated annually around the globe, PSD began in Canada in 2007 when two students took a stand against homophobic bullying, after a peer was bullied for wearing a pink shirt. In Aotearoa, PSD works to create schools, workplaces, communities and whānau where everyone feels safe, valued and respected.
Please consider wearing something pink on Friday, or pop into Te Rua to make your own PSD badge! Also, make sure to check out the awesome PSD display outside room 224 on level 2 (PJH) and grab a PSD sticker!
For those interested in joining the photo, please wear something pink and meet in the PJH workroom at 2pm on Friday!
Ngā mihi nui,
Isabella
