Zotero – handle your bibliographies with simple, free software

“Zotero [zoh-TAIR-oh] is a free, easy-to-use tool to help you collect, organize, cite, and share your research sources” We think that’s an understatement – it’s all that and much more! This face to face course introduces Zotero as a research management tool and will demonstrate quick and easy ways of working with reference information. If you’re currently using an alternative reference management application, we’ll also show you how to migrate your information across to Zotero.

By the end of this course attendees will have a good understanding of how to:

  • Enter reference information into a Zotero library using range of techniques
  • Link PDFs and other files to Zotero citations
  • Cite references with Microsoft Word
  • Work with automatically created reference lists
  • Use collections, tags and searching for reference management
  • Transfer libraries from other software such as EndNote
  • Back-up a Zotero library.
