Matariki video

Alongside staff from MB, the social media team produced a short video for Matariki. The video has been well received. Click to watch the video on Facebook or Instagram.

 Te Rua Makerspace ‘Puna Lounge’

The Makerspace team have been running the ‘Puna Lounge’ again this semester to encourage stressed students during the exam period to take a break. During this period, Te Rua provided a range of fun and relaxing activities which included knitting, origami, streaming animated short films. Plus, plenty of bubble wrap giveaways and the famous ball pit! The Puna Lounge is a great way to demonstrate manaakitanga towards our students for exam support.

Macmillan Brown Library: Items on External Display

In collaboration with the UC Teece Museum, items from Macmillan Brown Library’s collection have been put on display in the mini-exhibition Ancient Epic and Modern Classic to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the publication of James Joyce’s novel Ulysses. The exhibition and associated talks have been promoted on the Library’s social media.

Positive Exam-time Messaging

This month, the social media team shared a variety of exam tips, tricks, and positive messages to boost student morale during exam time.

Student Creativity in Te Rua

The Library’s Instagram account has continued to successfully promote the wonderful arts and crafts made by staff and students in the Te Rua Makerspace. This post of a student showing off their fantastic new pants was particularly well-received!
