Sarah and I are seeking Expressions of Interest (EoI) for a part-time Kaiāwhina role in the Macmillan Brown Library.
This is a 0.42 (16 hours a week), band 2, academic year only role, fixed term until Thursday 10 November. The reason for this opportunity is to cover the secondment of Cherilyn Clark to the Archives Cataloguer (Photographic Services Collection) role. The Kaiawhina role will report to Sarah Johnston. This role could be a secondment or additional hours for the successful candidate.
The role requires someone who:
- Enjoys working as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service
- Is knowledgeable and experienced in the delivery of library services to students, academics and the community
- Is committed to providing inclusive and supportive services and spaces that reflect a commitment to Te Rautaki Whakawhanake Kaupapa Māori and the UC Pasifika Strategy
- Wants to learn more caring for cultural heritage collections, including preservation tasks and digitisation.
The working hours are:
- Monday 8:30-2pm
- Wednesday 8:30-2pm
- Friday 10:30-5pm
