Remember this post about how we’re going to ‘retire’ Counterculture?
It turned out to be premature.
We’ve discovered the Bulletins feature on Teams won’t work as a replacement for Counterculture, because it only allows channel owners to create posts and there is no comment facility. We’ve also investigated using Sharepoint but at the moment this is not possible.
However, ITS is developing a roadmap for the new intranet and internal teams communication is on the wishlist (as other teams have requested a blog -like function too). Long term the goal is still to minimise the number of platforms we’re using in the library to share information.
In the meantime, we will continue to use Counterculture for cross-library communications and the general chat on the LIbrary All Staff Teams for informal chat.
