Community engagement: Collaboration for UCSA Elections and Postgrad Options Week
The displays team worked alongside the UCSA and Postgrad advisors to bring election candidate information and postgrad advice in to Central Library this month!
Riccarton High School Pacific Studies Class Visit MB
Highlighted on Library news, was another successful visit to Macmillan Brown Library by the year 10-13 Pacific studies class from Riccarton High School. In collaboration with Riccarton High School, Macmillan Brown Library staff (led by Caroline Syddall) helped students find resources on assignment topics relating to Pacific cultures.
Te Rua: Sustainability, 3D-printed Catan & more!
The Te Rua team hosted a casual gaming afternoon this month, with a big range on offer: from quick and easy card games to a 3D-printed version of Catan! The team also had a stall at the sustainability expo at the beginning of the month where students were shown how the makerspace holds a multitude of resources to reuse, upcycle and be creative in sustainable ways.
Notable Canta mention
This month PJH was lucky enough to get a mention in a recent edition of Canta, quoted as the “beloved Puaka-James library”. It’s always great to be reminded that the students do think fondly of our libraries!
