There are 6 topics for the major design project, each covering some aspect of designing technology to help rural conditions in Cambodia. Students are working in groups of 4. Most of the information students need about Cambodia should be in the Atlas of Cambodia on Restricted Loans in Engineering Library.

Students will probably be focusing more on the practical aspects of design rather than doing much background reading. But I’ve suggested a few subject keyword searches for those who might want to do some research – see Cog ‘n Blog if you get any questions on this.

Students hand in their final report in week 11, and in week 12 they hand in an A3 colour poster and present with an OHP.
