Kia ora koutou,

The Academic Skills Centre is running a trial evening service starting tonight (Monday 4 March).  Michael Weiss will be sitting in the Customer Services workroom on level 2 from 6.30-8.30 Monday to Thursday evenings in term time.  His focus will be answering questions from distance students in this time.

Michael is an alumnus of the Universities of Canterbury and Auckland. He holds a BFA from Canterbury, and an MMus and PhD in musicology from Auckland. He has presented his research at conferences in the US, UK, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, and he has lectured and tutored extensively in music theory and music history. He also has a Graduate Diploma in Teaching and spent two years as a classroom teacher at an intermediate school in Auckland.

Michael will introduce himself to the desk staff when he arrives for each of his shifts. Please let me know if you have any questions about the new service.
