Takedowns
We have put up an explicit set of guidelines on how to request something is removed from the Repository. It includes the reasons we will consider withdrawing an item, and the process we follow.

Takedowns don’t happen often, but it is good to be explicit about how we approach it.

Metadata Licence
We make most of the metadata for items in the repository available through OAI/PMH harvesting.This means that NZ Research and OCLC can advertise our items. Until recently we didn’t have a clear statement of what people could do with the metadata, but we have solved that by releasing (tah-dah!) the “UC Research Repository Statement on Reuse, Metadata and Preservation”

I’ve tried hard to make sure it reflects current practice, but it challenges us to think more about how we preserve digital born artifacts.
