These are some books that have been previously banned or challenged. They each have a tag giving the challenge, eg Alice’s adventures in Wonderland – puts animals and human beings on the same level; encourages drugs and child abuse. (Some of Ted Dawe’s other books are also on this display.)

Great display. I try to read one book a year from the ALA list. I have a feeling that this year it will be Into the River. I recommend The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, by Sherman Alexie from the top ten list. Anne
