Cultural enrolment

There is a particularly insistent student who claims he has the right to expect Library borrowing privileges. Liang CHANG is culturally enrolled, and as such does not receive borrowing rights.

This has been explained to him – I have emailed an explanation to his two current email addresses. It will make no difference if he goes to the Card Co-ordinator, or to Registry. He has a “current” Canterbury Card, but no record for him will download to Horizon while he is culturally enrolled.

Cultural enrolment does not provide an entitlement to any Library services – see Enrolment and Fees Policies and Regulations in the University Calendar, p. 60.

He can choose to pay to join as an external member, so long as he fits the residency criteria.
