Paying for Lost Books Online

Borrowers have long been able to pay fines online via My Library Account. From today, they will also be able to pay some lost book charges.

Borrowers can pay for items that have aged to lost (but not yet been invoiced) and items for which they have received a library invoice.

They cannot pay for items that have progressed to a finance invoice or for items which still have a default price of $999.99.

Information about remote payments is on the wiki, including screenshots of the process for making an online payment.

This change is being publicized via Library News and library invoices have been amended to include this new payment method.

Please let me know if you have any questions or notice any anomalies.

Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori

A big kia ora to everyone who joined in with celebrating Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori last month. We had a lot of fun putting together the programme of events and were glad people enjoyed it. Onwards and upwards for next year!

Glory and/or bragging right were promised to the winners of the various competitions so without further ado:

Team Quiz Challenge: Jo Condon, Jamie Hanton, Rebecca Taekema and Erin Kimber

Scavenger Hunt: Caroline Anderson and Rebecca Taekema

Wharewhare: Bronwyn, Sara, Aurelia and Fiona T (special bragging rights must go to Bronwyn for winning a game in te reo on one of her first few days in the country!)

He Pātai o te Rā: Fiona W, Caroline Syddall and Caroline Anderson

Congratulations everyone. Ka mau te wehi!
