Workplace Massage

Hi Library Folks,

On 30th of September we trialled a workplace massage, partially subsidised by money granted to us from the Health and Safety Award. 12 lucky people each got a 15 minute discounted session with Debbie, a massage therapist, from BodyWorkz. As there was a positive response we’ve decided to go ahead and provide another partially subsidised session before Christmas

When: Thursday, 4th of December, 9.30am-12.15
Location: Puaka-James Hight, Level 5, Room 524A (meeting room 9)
Cost: $10 for 15 minutes

There are 12 time-slots up for grabs so contact myself or Felicity if you’re keen. Priority will be given to those who missed out last time. If you are a second-timer, let us know if you are interested and we’ll get in contact with you regarding time-slots later next week

simon.cooke@canterbury.ac.nz
felicity.watson@canterbury.ac.nz

If you miss out this time as we hope to hold other sessions next year

Get in early to grab a spot!

Cheers

Workplace Massage

Hi folks,

Feeling a bit tense? Well, it’s your lucky day – how about a quick de-stressing massage?

Cost: only $10 for 15 minutes. The rest is paid for out of our Health and Safety Award grant. Just to be clear (because sometimes it pays to be) massages are fully clothed. Basically, it’s head, neck and shoulders. Payment in advance, before the end of this week would be good.

When: Tuesday September 30th. There are 3 time slots left so contact myself or Felicity before they’re snapped up.

Times:
9.30-9.45
10.30-10.45
12.15-12.30.

Contact:
Felicity Watson: xt4043
Simon Cooke: xt8777

Where: we’ll trial it in the unpacking room part of Library Access and Collections (Puaka-James Hight, Room 519) but might need to book a more private room on subsequent visits depending on moans, groans and snapping of bones [kidding].

If there is enough interest we will hold more sessions at a later date.

Our massage therapist is called Debbie Johnstone and she works for BodyWorkz.

Cheers
Simon

Farewell from Deirdre Congdon

Thank you all so much for making my last day so memorable. Thank you for the morning tea, for the Torpedo voucher and for lunch. I’ll never forget such a great bunch of librarians and the enjoyment I’ve had from your friendship and support. I’ll treasure your card with your lovely comments. I’d love to hear from you and hope we can keep in touch – dmcongdon@gmail.com

All the best

Deirdre

Missing package of DVDs

Hi folks,

A package from Eduation Roadshow was signed for at the Uni warehouse on September 2nd but has not turned up at Library Support Services. Has anyone seen this floating around in need of a home? Inside are DVDs of Aladdin, Cinderella and Wind in the willows which are needed urgently for an English course.

Help… Chocolate fish for any information leading to its capture.
