The Catalogue keyword indexes have become corrupted. The alphabetical browse indexes should be OK. Unfortunately copying over an older set of indexes has not helped so we will rebuilding the indexes. This means that keyword searches will not return a complete set of results until around mid-day.
All staff are invited to attend the presentation of the Rosalind Patrick Award on Tuesday 19th November at 3pm in Room 210, Central Library.
Afternoon tea will be provided.
I would like to let you know that the Digital Humanities Subject Guide has just been published. 2014 sees the start of the Digital Humanities courses at UC, and you will probably notice that this subject guide contains a few more links to open source and online resources than some of the other guides.
It is, as with most things, a work in progress, as James Smithies and I will refine it as the course runs. If you have any comments or can suggest further resources please direct them to me.

A silver/black Nokia cellphone has been found in the Central Library staffroom today. If it is your cellphone, please collect it from the lost property box at the Central Library Information Desk.
The change to the K: drive will break some links in the wiki. The path has changed from simple K:\ … to K:\LIBR-Library which I didn’t really expect.
We’ll look to see if there are ways of bulk-changing links on the WIKI.
Some of Margaret’s old programs may also fail. Margaret is away today, but if you come across any problems with reports (e.g. Spine Labels) let me know and I’ll see if this can be fixed.
The Catalogue is being reindexed to deal with the problems from Sunday. This means that for keyword searches, not all results will appear. By around 11 am all indexing should be completed.
