Front desk machines affected by P: drive moves

You will have noticed that all Front Desk Library PCs are scheduled for a P: drive move starting at 8 pm tonight. I have pointed out to the Project Office that most of the branches are open to 9 pm, and asked if it matters that our log-off does not happen till then.

The Project Office possibly won’t know and will need to consult with ICTS. Assume that a 9 pm log-off is OK and if they have to do the 3 or 4 logins affected at some later stage, we can plan it for a time that will work.

If that changes, I’ll tell you.

Troubleshooting tools for the heat binder

Hi All

Simon White (CEPS) has dropped off some tools we can use for unjamming the heat binder
A metal “key” (used to open the binder case) and forceps (for removing mangled strips without burning fingers) are now labelled and living in the cupboard behind the desk (right next to the boxes of binding strips and staples). Please make sure these go back here if you have used them.

Cheers

CL Staffroom Teaspoons

Can Central Library staff please check their desks and work areas for any teaspoons that belong in the Central Library staffroom. At the moment we have only 2 teaspoons left in the staffroom for staff to use. If you do find any, please return them to the staffroom as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Angela Berry.

Payment Plus

Payment Plus does not appear to be working today, as we are receiving a lot of “Library payment failed” error messages through the Library email account. I have contacted Peter Kennedy, but he is unable to fix the problem remotely. Peter and ICTS will look into it on Monday morning.
