Serials Solutions have completed the Summon unified index upgrade that was previously postponed. There are a number of bug fixes and improvements. For more details see below.
In addition to the index upgrade, there is a new Web of Science feature which integrates citation counts into search results (when on campus), and allows Summon to index all Web of Science content. Again, more details follow.

We are getting a lot of questions about problems accessing the Internet. If you changed your password last week, you’ll also need to update your password in Internet Enabler.
* Double click the Internet Enabler icon in the system tray (blue globe icon in the bottom-right of the screen).
* Enter your new password and click Enable
You should notice that the red cross over the icon will disappear, and if you hover your mouse pointer over the icon it should now say “Internet Enabler: Enabled”. Contact Library IT if you continue to have problems.

Some circulation changes approved by LLT have been implemented this morning:
– The fine rate for recalls has been reduced from $3 per day to $1 per day.
– The fine block on the self-check machines has been increased from $10 to $30.
Any circulation machines logged into Horizon before 8.10am should be restarted to pick up the changes.
Thanks

All EFTPOS stations in the university are currently out of order. ICTS are working on the problem.
EBL ebook library is not accessible at the moment. We are trying to resolve the problem with their support people as soon as possible.

If you want to share information about your meeting request on Tuesday, there’s a page on the Wiki where you can add your name and the location of your meeting:
Feel free to edit the headings.
We are getting reports that the Storage request pull list is often empty when it shouldn’t be. This report is shared across 4 storage locations (Warehouse, Law Basement, Offsite and Special Collections), so staff using this list need to follow these guidelines:
* Run the report, print the details, then close it. The list will appear empty if anyone else tries to open it at the same time.
* To close the report, click the close button (X) or choose ‘Keep List’. Answer ‘Yes’ to the question about cancelling the binding of items to requests. Do not use the ‘List pulled’ button – this option clears items off the list until the following day.
If you suspect that the report has been cleared you can restore it using the ‘Restore the request pull list’ report from the Requests reports page.
Thanks,
Donna
