Recently we’ve had some changes to the Marketing Group. Lisa, Jamie, Nikki, Denise and Coral have left, while Râ and Greg have joined and are the new leaders – it will be great to have their input and fresh ideas!

Fines Amnesty
Thanks for your support of the amnesty. We received 247 cans in Central Library, 10 in EPS and 24 in Education – which is around $1400 of waived fines and a whole lot of cans for the City Mission!

The fines amnesty, ‘Can your Library fines’ is being held a bit earlier this year so we don’t clash with exams and a busy time for students.

It’s exactly the same as last year, for each can of food we’ll wipe $5 of fines and all cans will be given to the City Mission. Posters have been printed and I’ll be sending them out this afternoon – you’ll see them appearing around the libraries and campus next week.

Please promote this event when you’re talking with students. Thanks in anticipation for your help!

We had 96 entries in the Library quiz. Thanks again to those of you who promoted it to students.

Next week we start the Twitter competition and this time we’re asking students to post a #UCLibrarySelfie. We’d be very grateful if you could promote it too.. and if you’re a twitter user, feel free to send us your own library selfie.

Thanks to everyone who’s been encouraging students to enter the orientation quiz. So far we’ve had 70 entries and we still have 4 days to go. Last year we had 40 entries in total!
