Journal Logins

We can now use the E-Journal Portal and 360 Link (Article Linker) to display password information. This means that users will have login/password details readily available at point of need.

You will see the following changes:

• the Catalogue record has a link to the journal and a link to the Journal Logins page – see example
• the E-Journal Portal has login and password details listed underneath the title – see example
• the Article Linker results screen has a link Resource information, passwords, etc. which opens in a new tab to display login and password details – see example

Not all of our password access journals can be treated this way. Some titles are not available via Serials Solutions and others are not for public access. Password details for titles for which a Catalogue record says “Password needed for access, ask a Librarian” can be found on UC Wiki. These are resources whose terms and conditions prohibit us from displaying the information or require a librarian to search the resource for the user.

Please let me know of any problems.
