You haven’t got long to check out what’s in this month’s cabinet, and coming in August, it travels from West Wallaby Street, Wigan, to West(ish) Auckland, Tâmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa. The creators of this television series described it as ‘proudly urban’ and ‘non-politically correct’. Next time you are at Henry Field Education library, make sure you have a look…

Curious cabinet
By ‘eck lad, what on earth is in there? Well, the subject in question is not particularly of this land, though sheep do feature quite a bit. He’s a woeful inventor, and his four legged companion is the real brains of the household. From tomorrow, and for the month of July, have a peek next time you’re at Education library.
Nick’s baby shower
On Thursday 11 June, we had a fine gathering of staff for a morning tea, to wish Nick well ahead of a rather big life changing event. All the very best Nick and Jihyun! We await the announcement…
Curious, very curious
The question on everybody’s lips of course is, what’s in the Curious Cabinet next month? Or even, what is this Curious Cabinet? All will be revealed soon…

Well, while on that subject, if you find yourself at Henry Field/Education library, please don’t leave without have a look at our small, but dynamic display. Veer left as you come through the doors. Free Spa Pool!
Yes, really. 1980’s retro model. Looks good. I am pretty sure all the bits and pieces are there, and you will need to have a reasonably good trailer to pick it up (doesn’t quite fit on the free table-thanks Fiona!), so if anyone would like it, please contact Hugh.
Human Trafficking
You’ve seen the life-sized wooden human cutouts around campus, and hopefully you’ve read some of the panels, now you can actually do something about it! It’s Human Trafficking Awareness week next week are there are events happening, so get involved. For those of you who don’t receive the Christchurch Mail free newspaper in your letterbox, front page on September 4th features Tania Butterfield who is off to Mumbai to fight the child sex trafficking problem there. Support her people, www.givealittle.co.nz/cause/Mission2Mumbai. NVader is also doing good work, so check out what they do.
“Go” magazine from the Press
Another request to coincide with New Zealand music month! Does anyone have the above magazine that came with last Fridays copy of the Press newspaper (May 2nd)? It has Sharon O’Neill on the cover. If so, could I have it please before it heads to the big yellow recycling bin. Many thanks, Hugh
Sunday Star Times magazine
Does anyone have the magazine that came with last Sunday’s newspaper? Not sure what it’s actually called. It has Neil Finn on the cover. If so, could I have it please before it heads to the big yellow recycling bin. Thanks, Hugh
