In anticipation of the EPS Library opening we have today started moving the collection located in Central Library back to EPS where they will be shelved into the main collection. Material returned between now and the library opening will also be returned to EPS. Retrievals will continue during this period.
The new Branch Libraries & Learning Hubs wiki page is now live. This brings information from the existing Education, EPS and Law pages into one central location. The new pages include information on the team, our priorities, procedures, contact details and also a ‘who does what’ section. You can find the new page at the following link
In preparation for the opening of the EPS Library I am looking at recruiting a number of part-time posts that will work across the branches for a period of 12 months starting January 2012. The posts will be Library Assistant roles covering the evenings and weekends as well as some daytime hours.
Prior to advertising the posts I wanted to offer part-time staff across the service the opportunity to take additional hours for this fixed term period. At this time I am looking for expressions of interest indicating the hours that you would be able to work e.g. Monday evening, Sunday, Friday morning.
Please let me have expressions of interest by the 31st October 2011.

I am please to inform everyone that Jane Oakden from the Law Library has been appointed to work at Heaton School as the Learning Resource Centre Co-Ordinator. It is a great opportunity for Jane and we wish her all the best, but she will be missed by all the team. Regards Coral
