Essential work is required to be undertaken on one of the main electrical switch boards which supplies power to a large section of the Dovedale Campus. This outage will occur on Saturday 28th of May from 10am to 4pm and will mean that we will be unable to open the Library. Full service will resume on Sunday.

As some of you will already know Paul Dennington has resigned from his post in the Education Library. Paul and his wife have decided to return to the United Kingdon later this month. Pauls’ last day is Saturday 9th April and I am sure you will all join me in wishing him well for the future.

We have now complete the tidy of the Education Library and all stock is back on the shelves in the correct place. Many thanks to all of those staff who worked at the weekend and this week to get it done in record time. We are also up to date with the Distance Service requests and queries with over 300 items sent out and 150 equeries answered, again a great achievment.

I just wanted to say again a big thank you for all your time and effort on Saturday. We had a huge job ahead of us when we came into the library on Friday afternoon and thanks to everyone’s hard work the task of picking everything up is now complete. This means we can focus on tidying this week and will hopefully have everything in order by the end of the week, a great achievement!

Thanks also to everyone for the sweets, cake and buscuits, much appreciated by all.
