Hampers for EDU Library

Hi everyone

this is Maria Veronese from Learning Resources, Otakaro, College of Education again. There is a frequent shortage of hampers at the EDU Library, resulting in frequent requests for spare hampers to be sent to EDU. Since Learning Resources are going to be at Otakaro, College of Education for at least the next six months we would appreciate it if Library hubs would send empty hampers to the EDU Library. If we don’t have the hampers, we cannot send out what we have received.

Thank you for your cooperation
Maria

Mail for Disability Resource Service

A note for anyone who sorts the mail in the unpacking room of the Central Library. Any mail addressed to Nicola, Rm 125 Central Library is meant for Nicola McDonald, Rm 125 of the Disability Resource Service which now has its offices in the old Bindery space. Enter through the doors from the Loading Bay, go through the door to your right (pushing the green button to enter), go forward and then turn right in the corridor. Go to the end and her office is on the far left. Hope this is clear enough.

Thanks
Maria Veronese

Secret Santa

Hi everyone
yes it’s that time of year again! For those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about, I’ll just give a quick description.

1. You tell me you want to participate. My email is Maria Veronese
2. I write your name on a Christmas label and put this into a hat with other labels
3. I come to your place of work and you can pick a label out of the hat (no peeking). You tell me who you picked and what is your last day of work.
4. You go and buy a present for the person mentioned on the label. Maximum amount is $4. Please note: do not buy presents which deteriorate. E.g. plants, food which requires refrigeration etc.
5. Wrap up the present. Attach label to it and get it to me no later than Tuesday 17 December.
6. Collect your Secret Santa present from under the Christmas tree in the Central Library staffroom at the Christmas Breakfast on Friday 19 December. If you are absent from the party/ have already started your holidays, I will leave your present at your desk for you to find.

Thank you
