New Assistant eServices Coordinators

Bronwyn and Kiera will be joining the eServices team from September to December 2016.

They will be supporting the team in ongoing work and providing extra helping hands for new projects.

Their involvement will enable the Library to increase its technical skills base and prepare for some of the changes planned at UC, including the move to SharePoint 2013 and the implementation of the Web Content Management System.Sharing

Staff Fora

This is your one month warning!  Our two mid-year staff fora are scheduled for 31st August @ 2pm and 1st September @ 10:30am.

Based on your feedback at the previous fora and at the recent OEI/OCI brainstorming sessions, the fora will be more social and have opportunities for you to get involved.

  • You can come and go throughout the 1 hour session
  • Anne will give a presentation at the start (10 mins)
  • There will be a Q&A at the end.  Questions can be submitted in person OR in advance by email to me.
  • Posters from you/ your team on work you’re doing.  These will be stuck to the walls and the poster author(s) can decide if they wish to be present at the session to chat
  • Each team to provide kai to share across the whole group
  • Ideas jar in corner of room

If you’d like further information or help/more info about the posters, please contact Tim or Joan.

Town Hall meeting

Do you go to the Learning Resources Town Hall meetings?  Do you find them useful, interesting, helpful?

If you’ve answered ‘no’ to either question above, I would be really interested in meeting you to have a chat about how these meetings could be improved. (Or feel free to post in the comments below!)

If you really enjoy the Town Halls, or have a topic you’re interested in hearing about, or want to present, I’d also love to hear from you.  I’ve been asked to help organise the next meeting and it’d be great to bring in your ideas and suggestions.idea
