Weekly lunchtime walks are re-starting.  These are at 12pm every Thursday and last for 30 mins.  These are taken at a gentle pace and are an opportunity to explore our campus.

Our next LLO meeting is on Tuesday 11^th May. This is 3 weeks away. At this meeting, academics from across the university come along and then report back to their departments. My highlights from this quarter’s meeting,

• welcome of new members
• proposed new terms of reference which extends the group’s remit to include preservation
• update on the digital presentation project (news of which was well received by Chris Thompson)

The eagle eyed among you will have noticed two positions being advertised on the UC jobs site. These are for

• Content Librarian
• Digital Services Librarian

These roles are part of a series of changes in the Access & Collections team. A summary of the name changes are below and, if you like an org chart, this is available here: Library-org-chart-2021-01.vsd

• eServices team are changing their name to Digital Services.
• eServices Coordinator = Kairuruku Ratonga Matihiko | Digital Services Coordinator
• Kaitiaki Ratonga Matihiko | Digital Services Librarian = new role which works in the Digital Services area
• Information Resource Coordinator = Kairuruku Mōhiohio | Content Coordinator.
• Kaitiaki Mōhiohio | Content Librarian = new role which replaces the Assistant Library Document Delivery role and works with the Content Coordinator.
• Resource Discovery Librarian = Metadata & Discovery Librarian (awaiting te reo Māori translation)

The changes reflect the re-positioning of the team to respond to global changes in higher education and to ensure we can continue to provide responsive and relevant services that support UC’s strategic objectives.
