From Saturday 14th November 2015 until Sunday 21st February 2016 the library will move to summer hours.

Central Library:

Monday-Thursday : 8.30am-9.00pm

Friday: 8.30am-5.00pm

Saturday 1-5pm

Sunday 1-5pm

Education Library**, EPS Library and Macmillan Brown Library:

Monday-Friday : 8.30am-5pm

** Education Library hours from Saturday 28th November 2015 – Sunday 7th February 2016

NB:  At Central Library – if you commence work before 8.30am daily you will need to access Puaka-James Hight building via the staff door, and on a Friday if you finish work after 5pm you will also need to exit via the staff door.  Please under no circumstances force the internal doors if they are locked!

Thursday 5th November,  repairs to plumbing in the building means the hot water will be switched off at 7am, for approximately 2 hours.  Cold water will be retained to the bathrooms and tearoom.

All libraries are open on Labour Day, Monday 26th October,  to support students prepare for end of year exams.

• Central 8am-11pm
• MB 10am-5pm
• EDU 10am-5pm
• EPS 10am-5pm

Food and beverages will be available at Café 1894 in the Undercroft, 10am-3pm, and the UCom snack bar will be on the steps of PJH from approx. 4-10pm.

“Customers with usernames that start with the letter ‘m’ are currently unable to access any files stored on their P drive, desktop files and may also experiences issues logging onto computers.

We are currently investigating this issue and will send an updated email in 1 hour”

There is a label on each book with why each book banned/challenged, and on the reverse gives the reason (which is from the ALA website).

“Into the River” is represented by the book wrapped in black paper in the centre.
