Hi all
It appears AskLive is down. We’ll contact libraryH3lp and hopefully they’ll let us know when to expect it to be back up.

Hi all
ICTS advise:
At 5:30pm tonight (Thursday 22nd May) we will be applying a supplied patch to the wiki to resolve a security issue.
The wiki will be unavailable for up to 10 minutes while the patch is applied. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
This will affect Camelot (and Horizon reports) and Library Wiki (e.g. endnote wiki) spaces.
ICTS have also added a warning note to the wiki pages (in the header) so hopefully people will be aware
We are working on library catalogue this morning – it may be restarted couple of times in next half an hour, and keyword searching may have some problems.
Kind regards,
Zuzana (for e-services)
Hi all
Some people have been reporting being kicked out of AskLive sessions a lot recently. This is down to network problems, but there may be a setting that Internet Explorer that may be exacerbating the issue. If you’ve had AskLive problems in IE – please check the following setting.
In IE – Go to Tools>Internet Options in the menu bar at the top of the screen (if you don’t see the menu bar (‘File’ ‘Edit’ ‘View’ ‘Favorites’ ‘Tools’ ‘Help’) appearing under your tabs at the top left of the screen, hit the ALT key to bring it up. Alternatively, click on the gear icon in the top right of the IE window).
In Internet Options, click on the “Connections” tab.
Click on the “LAN settings” button at the bottom right of the window.
The “Use automatic configuration script” check box should be unchecked.
If you see a reference to WebGate in this field, that may be the cause of your problems.
Uncheck this box and let us know if you continue to experience AskLive problems.
Kind Regards

Hi all
Photos taken for the Library’s 40th anniversary on the Ilam campus have been put on SharePoint HERE
You can copy the images from there if you’d like a copy. Please let e-services know if you are unable to access the SharePoint site.
Here’s a Counterculture-sized version for your enjoyment.
Cheers,
Romy (on behalf of e-services)
Hi all
We now have access again to Sage Premier articles.

Hi all
We are having some problems getting keyword and course code searching to work this morning in the library catalogue. We’re working on the problem and will hopefully have them back up and running soon.
We may need to restart the catalogue indexing at times this morning which could mean the catalogue goes down for a minute or so.
Kind Regards

Hi All
ICTS have confirmed there were some problems this morning that have prevented some staff PCs being enabled to access the internet this morning. If you cannot connect to non-NZ websites, you are probably one of the affected staff members. ICTS advise re-starting your machine and you should have access back again.
If this doesn’t work, report to ICTS that re-starting your machine didn’t get internet access back for you.
As an interim measure, you can access internet enabler from the N: drive (internet enabler folder) – you may have to disable/enable after your first enable attempt.
Kind Regards,
Romy
Hi all
This information is probably too late to fix any issues resulting from this, but:
ICTS have confirmed that the etxt service was down for a period on Sunday afternoon through to Monday morning. This means that messages (e.g. overdue hourly loans) generated on Sunday (4th May) afternoon will have been delayed until around 11am on Monday 5th May.
Just something to be aware of in case we get any customer complaints about notification.
Kind Regards,
Romy (for e-services)
Hi all
We’ve had a few reports recently from people having trouble with sound alerts in AskLive. To try and get to the bottom of this, could anyone having trouble (not getting any sound through on AskLive) please email/ph e-services and tell us what browser version you are using.
Using a different browser seems to work to get around the problem, but we’d like to track down the cause.
Cheers
