DPI tip
At this time of year there are many warnings around about over-indulging during the Easter break. Fortunately science! has decided that happy people work harder, and a good way to make people happy is to feed them chocolate. So have a relaxing break and come back refreshed and happy!

Compliment from a student
Jan received this from a Distance student who sometimes uses the Central library as well:
“Thank you very much for your email. I am very very grateful that you will extend my borrowing with Distance Services. Without that assistance I would have needed to pull out of uni and so I can’t thank you enough. Not only that, but the assistance has been outstanding. In fact, all my contact with the librarians for whatever reason, has been outstanding. Thank you to yourself and all the staff.”
Unsung hero
Aaron has just given me the Unsung hero award from the CS Quarterly meeting, for answering 129 Asklive queries. Thank you so much! Also I am very glad it was just quantity being counted, not actual correct answers!
Ngā mihi maioha

small visitor to Education
Rā has a girl!
Rā posted the following on facebook:
Hurray! Nau mai, haere mai to our darling baby girl who arrived 8th May at 3.27pm. She weights a good 9 pounds, 5 ounces and is doing beautifully .
Bubs is yet to be named though her big brothers are very stoked she’s here (other than Pouakai specifically requested a little brother so whats the deal?).
Mum and bubs are doing fantastically and we would like to thank all our friends and whanau for your aroha and support, especially Ihaia, Irai and Connie who have all been on babysitting duty with the boys. Arohanui from the even more expanded Weepu-Steer family.
Journal covers
Education has 19 clear plastic journal covers to give to a good home. A4 size.
Tall chair needed
Does anyone have a tall chair that isn’t being used? Education needs an adjustable one that can have the seat at around 65 cm or higher and thought we would ask before buying a new one. Thanks!
