Education Collection

Project 1 to bring the Education collection to the Central Library has started well. The first truck load will be unpacked this afternoon. It has LC items for levels 11 and 10, 3 crates of High Demand and some of the Junior Fiction. The shelving company arrived a day early so they have dismantled some of the shelving and already moved it to Central. The floorplan is still to be confirmed before the units can be shelved. Joan

Next weeks discussion is on Library Badges which are being used for information literacy. We are looking at these two websites.

Rehearsal – LIANZA Presentation 18 Sept

I am giving a 20 minute presentation at the LIANZA conference on 26 Sept so on Monday 18 Sept at 2 pm, in PJH 210 I will have a run through.
I would appreciate an audience who is prepared to give feedback and ask questions.
My topic is the Monograph Collection review and how we attempted to have an open process with no surprises whilst following a consistent process and using the technology available to the library to assist with the process.
