A new group has been set up to review the library’s needs in terms of ongoing preservation of digital assets. We had our first meeting on Tuesday to set the terms of reference for the project group.
We would like to keep everyone informed of our progress along the way, and have set up a sharepoint site to share our documentation so you can read our meeting minutes and terms of reference if you’re interested.
We will also share any new developments and milestones and will no doubt be consulting with many of you along the way. We’re happy to hear from you if you have any suggestions or questions too. This is an area that can be quite mind boggling but also pretty fascinating (yep really!).
The Digital Preservation Group –
Jo, Mariko, Erin, Helen, Stuart, Joan and our sponsor, Anne.
The MB team will welcome a new full time library assistant, Annelies Vranken on Monday. Annelies comes to us with considerable library experience in New Zealand, Australia and Belgium and will be a great addition to the team. She will be with us until November, covering Hannah’s parental leave.
We also wish Hannah all the best as she prepares for her new arrival. We will miss you, Hannah!
Kia ora, we have advertised a six month, fixed term, full time Library Assistant position in MB library. This is to cover Hannah’s parental leave and is advertised on the UC vacancies site.
