🌈Wear Rainbow Wednesday!🌈

Kia ora!

While we are in pride week we welcome you to wear rainbow colours on Wednesday this week (or everyday if you like). If you have any ideas on ways to celebrate or show support please feel free to get in touch with me.

On level 2 of PJH library there is a Pride display near the foyer and the beautiful photographs from the Botanical Badassery 2017 collection curated by Tanu Gago, photographed by Hōhua Ropate Kurene that Lydia has recently installed.

Ngā mihi,

Juliet

Winter Wellness Expo ❄️

The Winter Wellness Expo is Thursday 16th of July, 10am-2pm.

During the Expo we will be talking to students about the library and how we can help them on their learning journey.

If you have time on Thursday come see us in the UCSA building near the campus entrance. If you would like to help out for an hour contact Sue L.

There will be a chocolate guessing competition and manaakitanga bags to hand out.

Tower Race Update

The Tower Race is moving from next week to the 18th March!

If you had volunteered to help and the new date no longer suits you please take your name off the roster and we can look at finding replacement helpers.

Helpers do not need a first aid certificate to volunteer.

Roster pathway below 🙂

Library Tower Race, 15-3-05.

Herea tō waka

Kia ora koutou,

Thank you to everyone that helped with Herea tō waka-Orientation, whether it was holding down the fort, helping with preparations, supporting each other or greeting new students.

Our study buddy plants have made it to the UC Facebook page and flew out the doors by about 11.30am, bringing lots of smiles. The students were very impressed that Beth had come up with 336  unique names (one for every plant).

Half of our study buddies were put into new character planters featured in the photo below.

Our Instagram stories posted by Sean and myself were viewed by over 200 people.

The Library Stall saw 515 people (Approximately, we got busy!) and 324 people entered the love heart guessing competition.

Thank you from the library Herea tō waka group,

Rā, Beth, Sean, Margaret, Zina, Gavin and Juliet
