Praise

Fiona and I have just had  workshops with some of the Bachelor of Teaching and Learning (BTchLn)  Distance students.  They were full of praise for both the Library Distance service  and AskLive. It was lovely to get such positive feedback to share.

Education Handouts & Pathfinders

There are a few education-y things that are notoriously tricky to locate on the catalogue.  Because of this we have created handouts with lists for students to use.

Figure it out

Building science concepts

Curriculum documents

Copies of these documents are on Level 4 shelved below the CD racks, at the main lending desk, and on the Education Subject Guide at: “How do I find?”

Also at “How do I find?” are some of the handouts we provide in classes and to our students in general.

Adobe Connect Library workshops

The week starting the 5th of March  Kim, Fiona, Kathryn & Kiera are running a series of 4 online adobe connect workshops.

Find it! Beginners and Find it! Advanced

Reference it! APA Style Basics and  Reference it! APA Style Advanced.

If you are interested in how these online workshops run, you are more than welcome to either sign up to participate or sit in on the delivery.

Welcome to Central morning tea

The College of Education, Health and Human Development staff, students & whanau have been invited to a “Welcome to Central” morning tea. There will be food and a cuppa. Please feel free to join us on level 4 to mingle and chat. We do not expect hordes. It would be nice for the CoEHHD folk who are able to attend to meet the rest of the library community. Let Kathryn or Fiona know if you plan to attend, for catering. I think food is being ordered Monday. Otherwise,  feel free to just rock on up on the day.

Friday January 26th at 10.30am.

Book a Librarian QuickLink

We now have a “Book a Librarian” Quick Link on the library homepage. This will take you to the contacts page for the subject librarians. You will see photo’s (yikes!), phone & emails. There is also a button to “Make an appointment” beside those using  LibCal  for appointment scheduling. Thanks to Library E-services for making this happen for us.
