A reminder about the quiz today, 2pm in Room 210 at Central Library – Te Puna Mātauraka o Waitaha.  If you do not have a team, come along and we can sort one out for you.

Just a heads-up about the Kēmu patapatai / quiz on 13th Hōngongoi (July) .

Teams of 4-6 people. Teams get points for having a team name in Te Reo. Teams get points for having a team whakatauki that they can explain. Get a team together and sign up for bragging rights (and prizes).

You might want to brush up on the following:
Ingoa wāhi /local place names. The names will be taken from this list:Place names
Ngā marama / months of the year
Te hapori / community buildings: Community
Te tinana / parts of the body Body
Rākau / trees.

There is a new LEARN site: The Saili Matagi – Navigating the winds of Pasifika Success and Wellbeing . This has been set up by Tufulasi Taleni, the Kai-arahi Pasifika. The site encompasses the following: “Four (4) sections have been chosen as focus of our Talanoa (conversation) on this site and they are – Identity, Language & Culture, Culturally Responsive practices, Effective models of learning and practices and Pasifika Community engagement. ”

By clicking into the site, you get enrolled in the course and it will appear on your list of courses.

Law (Central) Non-library DVDs can go out of the Library and be viewed in the branches. If things go to plan students can use Level 2 of Central next week for AV viewing.
