Library Christmas function

Kia ora,
I’m about to send an email placeholder out for this: it will be Friday 14 Dec, 12.30pm at Bentley’s.
The meal is free, with a cash bar, and libraries will be closed that afternoon.

Last year was usual attire, so this year you are encouraged to dress up with Christmas in mind.

More information about the menu and options will be available closer to the time.

In the meantime, I am asking you to contact me or leave a note here if: you would like to be part of the organisation and awards group

Thanks everyone, in advance!

Room utilisation survey

Kia ora Colleagues,
Learning Resources will be undertaking a room utilisation survey on Ilam Campus over the week 6-10 August 2018.
The survey builds on previous surveys to identify trends in room utilisation that inform UC’s space and facility planning.

The survey will cover:
• Lecture theatres;
• Seminar and tutorial rooms;
• Meeting rooms;
• Art studios and similar rooms;
• Student computer laboratories;
• Postgraduate study spaces.

The rooms will be surveyed each hour between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday over the week commencing Monday 6 August.
Surveyors will be provided with a name tag that they must wear at all times, and will also carry a letter confirming that they are undertaking the survey.
Postgraduate studies are again being included. Please advise your staff and postgraduate students of the survey; if occupants are not visible through windows, the surveyors will be required to open doors to study areas.
Thank you for your help, and I look forward to sharing the survey results with you in due
course.
Ngā mihi
